The Corruptor

The Corruptor comes in alluring forms and shapes
Whispering softly, summoning you to hum
Murmurs lasciviously for you to dance
The Corruptor whispers for you to sing
In a low rustling sound, conjures
That voice beguiles, whispering freedom

The Corruptor, official, imperial, stately, ordinary
Sleek, persuasive, appealing; the fatal voice
Hunts prey night, after night, after night
Morning, wakes up rejuvenated, smiling
Others, with heavy head, cry out at dawn
Hearts empty, tears dripping

The Corruptor, insidiously cunning
Marked by fluent and assorted fantasies
Beautiful verses against vices
Also mulls over lies, tears, and happiness
To corrupt honesty, and distort reason
Steal the minds of the multitudes

With elegant strides, the Corruptor charms
Running with grin into innocence
With words dancing over lips
Poisonous smiles, corroding virgins
And then, the deleterious claws puff
The cycle of corruption, lies, cynicism continues

The Façade Parades

I watch as you speak with pride
Brag morals from your fortress
That face plainly etched
Total unquenchable your mind
A heart of falseness possessed
Babbling lies of truth and affection
Hopes and dignity disastrously wrecked
Probably death of the heart
And demise of compassion

In vain, I seek your eyes
My eyes burned from stares
Not friendliness you hold
Venomous reptile garnished with flowers
Embellished in antique oil of rose
Celestial voice, gate of lies
Facciata, a true voorgevel migrates
Shadow of raging showers
Breath of lethal baits

Like tipplers to active saloons
Games for beasts to swill
Dance velvety in graceful serpentine style
Piercing eyes of eternal doom
Mortal opponent to sprawl hearts
Hungry, raged possessed no ease
Fake smiles visit pertinaciously
Parades with thrill pompously
Its sheer crossness for freewill

Seeking negatives with uneasy haste
From thou self-erected falsetress basked
Treading a path of ingratitude and waste
Unaware you have been wholly unmasked
Thousands of tremulous lines your wealth
Each, a symbol of falsehood gained
I watched with pity as you preached again
Unmindful  treachery and its roots never last
This heart smiles and is peacefully at ease

The Face of the Devil

I have seen the face of the devil
The sparkle of rainbow in his eyes
Walking imperially and pompously
Hair meticulously bright and graceful
Fashionably dressed morning, day, night
Words piercing and bewitching
Alluring and beckoning all times

I have seen the face of the devil
Petit, plump, dark, ivory, all race
Hateful piercing words to raze
Eye lashes coated penny high and wide
Devouring God’s gifts and blessings
Gluttonously all that is beautiful
Songs, flowers and fragrance

I have seen the face of the Devil
That chameleon roams inexhaustible
Taking on all shapes and sizes
As a professional and un-skilled person
Aware of all that respire and all dreams
To stifle progress and take away hopes
And suffocate a child’s inspiration

I have seen the face of the devil
Endlessly shifting expressions
To corrupt empathy and compassion
Anxious to wound a beautiful mind
With hand of claws concealed
Restless, as the sun prepares to sleep
Filled with deep seated agitation

I have seen the face of the devil
The devil came for me in haste
Alone, holding tight a life in my palms
Sad, lonely and poor looking above
I was content inside but tired outside
One tear rolled down my cheek
Would the light in me ever flicker?

It’s true; I saw the face of the Devil
Calling my name and taking my arms
I mumbled and looked upward
Millions of stars and moonbeams filled the sky
Inside the stars I saw the face of a smiling angel
“You are not alone,” said the angel
That angel’s face I hold and cherish forever

    MaMusue,
Thanks Girl. These poems are highly intellectual. I read the poems you wrote before this and I am only thinking about how you write - the different tone and style of writing. I am not surprise, it is really intereting to read your work.
