this is my first time on your website and I am happy to finally find what I have been looking for. I have always wanted a piece of our culture to share with my children and grand children here in the US. Thanks for such a wonderful site. Keep it up.
The art work of Mr.Lesie Lumeh stands, in my opinion, with the best European artist of the 20th Century. His vibrant paintings tell stories and speak to our hearts. They should be worth millions in the future if they are honestly valued. He should try to get as much expose as he can in order to share his gift with the world.

WOW! The Site? Nothing short of AMAZING! Thanks Seabreeze, you’re a breath of fresh air!
I’m a Liberian Author who just published a historical fiction “Coming From Liberia” available at http://www.lulu.com/emmanuelezike. Could you let me know how I could showcase my work? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for the VISION and I will definitely spread the word!
Sincerely,
Emmanuel.
Horton,
the interview with Khona khasu was the BOMB! The brother has always been on time.i think he is one of liberia’s most valuable assets we have in expresssing our arts and culture.I have always respected his talents and love for Liberian and African culture in general. If I am not mistaken, he also work with Bill cosby for a while.
Stay strong! stay Black! And stay African!
Dear Stephania,
Some of my recognized painter friends in the area and I are admiring the art gallery, so allow me to post here some of their comments, in English:” sparkling originality, monumental and unique, expressive force of the colors of the earth, high artistic achievement, outstanding richness of detail…” .
I hold with the opinion already expressed by professor Althea Romeo-Mark:
“The art work of Mr.Lesie Lumeh stands, in my opinion, with the best European artist of the 20th Century. His vibrant paintings tell stories and speak to our hearts.”
High appreciation and admiration to Mr. David Wolobah for his unique, inspiring artistic images, for the display of the expressive force of earth’s immortal colors.
Liberia truely has some first class artists. It would be wonderful to see an exhibition of Liberian art in one place. It would send a strong message about Liberian creativity and make an impact on the world.
The photographs by Doeba are also fantastic. They prove the saying true “that a picture is worth a thousand words.” I am overwhelmed by how well the beauty in simple every day things are captured. We see them in another light. I haven’t got around to the reading yet, but I will. Had to say something about the art/photography. They spoke to me.

I am overcome by the art, the photographs, the knowledge that Liberia grows. My heart is so full I can hardly breathe. In my beloved year at Cuttington in 1964, I was just a litle girl, but I remember it all. Thank you for all there is to read here and think about. I’ll be back!

I was given this website by a friend (Ciata Stevens) and I’m truly impressed by the works of our fellow Liberians. I would however like to be a regular contributor to the poetry section and would like to know if there are any special requirements. Some one please help me out.

Dear Seabreeze,
I want to congratulate you for your wonderful website. I am a journalist and writer and promoter of literary activities. I am also a Board member of International PEN. I would like to link up with you and see how we can work together. I share your dreams and want to explore how we can put them into action here in Liberia.
Congrats and good luck!

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia from 11- 67 to 11 – 69. During and now after the civil war I have lost nearly all my contacts with students and friends that I had in Liberia during my two years as a teacher there.
In talking to a student who now lives in Texas after immigrating he mentioned that my landlord and District Commissioner, Karpey Barclay, was living in the Washington,DC area. He didn’t know an address and I was wondering if anyone here might know him or of him?
It would be wonderful to talk and see him (or for that matter any of my students) again after 40 years.
If you do have contact with him, please have him call me at 626-390-9919 or email me at awkrug@gmail.com
Thank you.
Great job, keep up the good work and do not give it up. For to possess something is one thing. To maintain it, is another.
